Dad's back at work....

Today is day two with Daddy back at work...and boy do we miss him already! We had a busy day yesterday with a visit to the doctor and Jackson meeting mommy's co-workers at a BBQ, so we didn't have much of a chance to miss daddy not being home with us, but today is a different story!

Thankfully daddy was able to come home for lunch today to have a quick visit. As soon as Scott got home, Jackson woke up to the sound of his voice and was straining from mommy's lap to turn his head and see daddy. After a few snuggles, Jackson went back to sleep in one of his favoite places... on daddy's chest, but he wasn't very happy when he woke up and was no longer having a nap with his daddy!

Check-up

Jackson had his check-up with the doctor today and he is doing really well. He weighed in at a whopping 8 lbs 12oz and has grown two and a half inches, measuring 22.5 inches. He is a healthy and happy baby. Jackson's not much of a crier but he didn't much like being at the doctor today...he shed his first tear, which of course made mom want to cry too. :) Once we got him home he was fine. I can't say I blame him for being upset, he was awoken from his nap striped naked and had a doctor with cold fingers poking and prodding him, I would be a bit grumpy too!

Jackson's First Bath

So dad figures I should figure out how to do this , so this is my first official blog. We are about to give Jackson his first bath at home. He did really well with his bath at the hospital so hopefully he will be alright with this one too. I guess you will be able to tell by the picture that his dad will post of it!

The public health nurse was made a house call to check on Jackson. He is losing weight, hasnt reached his birth weight yet. Jody and I are going to change a few things during feeding time and hopefully that will make a difference.
